Past Event Highlight: FISA - University of Nairobi

mDarasa was honored to attend the Finance Students Association (FISA) event at the University of Nairobi. FISA is a vibrant professional club that empowers students specializing in finance and accounting to practice and perfect their skills. The club also welcomes students from other disciplines such as procurement, operations, marketing, law, economics, and education, making it beneficial to all students.

During the event, mDarasa partnered with FISA, offered sponsorship, and provided free merchandise to students. This partnership reflects our commitment to supporting student growth, professional development, and community engagement across all fields.

Past Event Highlight: Donation to Embu Library

In a remarkable demonstration of our commitment to community empowerment and digital literacy, mDarasa recently made a significant donation of a computer to the Embu Library. This initiative was driven by our belief that access to technology is a fundamental right and a crucial enabler for education, research, and personal development in the modern world. The Embu Library, which serves hundreds of students, researchers, and members of the public from the region, has long been a beacon of knowledge and a hub for academic growth. However, like many public libraries, it has faced challenges in providing up-to-date technological resources to its users.

By donating a fully equipped computer, mDarasa aimed to bridge the digital divide and offer students and library users the opportunity to access online learning materials, conduct research, and develop essential computer skills. The computer will not only support academic pursuits but also enable users to explore new areas of knowledge, apply for jobs, and connect with the wider world. In one of our most heartfelt and transformative initiatives, the mDarasa team embarked on a mission of compassion and hope through the Street of Joy outreach. Driven by a deep sense of social responsibility and a desire to make a tangible difference, our team spent a day with street children—young souls who, despite facing unimaginable hardships, still carry dreams, laughter, and resilience in their hearts.

The day was filled with moments that touched us deeply. We distributed clothes, wholesome food, and refreshing drinks to the children, ensuring that each one felt seen, valued, and cared for.
